Become results-oriented when learning a new language. Quickly learn the right words to say in getting your message across.

Being afraid of making mistakes can diminish your confidence when trying to speak a new language. We all learn from mistakes, especially when it comes to learning a new language. Don’t worry about how long it’s taking you to learn as that can be unproductive.

Reading and listening are sure ways to learn a language.
Learning the most common everyday words and expressions in a language is very useful.

I heard a story about a French woman who needed to get some drugs from a pharmacy. Her doctor advised her to get Omega. On getting to the pharmacy, she met an assistant who tried to explain the different types of Omega available.

The woman became confused. She turned to the cashier and again asked for Omega. The cashier asked in French; heart or brain? The woman answered, “Brain”. She bought the drugs.

This example shows how the cashier used specific words to remove the language barrier. Unlike the assistant, the cashier focused on helping the woman and was productive by getting a result.

If you become results-oriented, learning a new language will quickly be within your reach. Every effort you put into learning will be advantageous in the long run.

As a business owner, speaking another language can create opportunities and access to people you otherwise couldn’t have reached.
