Learning a new language needs your time, effort, determination and having a deep interest.
People frequently think it’s easier for kids to learn a new language. While that might be true to a certain extent, adults can also learn a new language because they are already learners.
The difference between children and adults learning something new is in making mistakes.
Children are not worried about making mistakes. However, some adults out of pride or fear of making mistakes, they sometimes don’t try to learn.
In learning a new language, you must be ready to make mistakes because that’s one way to learn.
If you want to use the new language in a business setting or when you travel abroad, you must keep what you’re learning appropriate to you.
Think of ways to make it fun and conversational when you start learning the language.
English and French languages are used a lot in entrepreneurship. They are part of the rich languages that allow for much freedom in expressing different ideas.

I’ll share a story of what happened with some business owners I met at my old workplace. They came over from Ghana, West Africa, to buy goods, which involved a large amount of money.
I interpreted for them with the middle-men they brought to our warehouse.
When done with the deal, they were so impressed that they asked me, what was one of the easiest ways to learn a few words in French, to get around on their next journey to Togo.
I suggested that they watch a lot of French movies. The practice would help them listen to sounds and expose them to the new language, making it easier to pick up phrases, to understand and speak. They did this.
The next time they came to Togo, they used the French words they had learned to find me without using the middle-men. It was astonishing how watching others speak a language in a movie helped them.
If you use the above tips, you can quickly grasp a new language.
A good reason to learn French or English is that it helps you communicate with others in doing business. Commit yourself to learn it, practice speaking it by making it fun, and it will be worth it in the end.
It’s never too late to learn a new language.
